Lurve Day


Hey lovely friend! I hope ya'll had an awesome Valentine's Day whether or not you had a significant other to spend it with.

   I really want to know what you all did for this fancy 'holiday', or what are your overall thoughts? I feel that it is what you want to make of it. For me, I don't have a Valentine (except for you guys...duh!), so this may be biased, but even if I were in a relationship with somebody, I don't think I'd want them to blow up the entire day to show love. I think I would want everyday to be filled with actions that speak volumes about how we care for each other and maybe have spontaneous days where we'd do crazy and fun things. That may just be because I'm at a different place in life, but what about you guys? Do you think Valentine's Day is just another day, or overly hyped?

  1. At my age, Valentine's is completely overly hyped. My husband and I used to do it big, but now just give each other cards and order pizza (lol).

  2. Completely agree with you on that! Seriously, if its a day of love, why center it on just couples? I have so many people in my life that I love dearly and want to show I care about every day I have with them. :)
    Valentines Day is just another day in my book!
    But hey, its a good excuse to dress up extra pretty, right? ;)

  10. Wow, your hair is getting so long Genie! It looks completely gorgeous and really shows off your pretty face. I totally agree with you about v-day, it's nice just to have a day to enjoy everyone in your life and show them all a little love. (And candy, mmm. It's like halloween but without the dressing up now.) I like how you took a hint of valentine's day into your outfit, the bright red sweet looks so cherry and happy. :)
