Ponita!


Happy Friday friends! Are any of you guys heading back to school/work this coming Monday?





Pony Blouse... Ross 
Cardigan... Old Navy... different color
Jeggings  Thick, Stretchy Pants... Ross
Cowboy Boots... Wal-Mart

   Whenever I look at this top in my wardrobe, I feel like going out to a rodeo or a ranch, which would be fun for the first five minutes, then I'd remember that I'm terrified of horses in real life. They're beautiful creatures, but they're massive compared to my stature of 5'2, and could eat me alive if they wanted to. And outrun, kick, and trample me to death on any given day. So... I'll just stick to daydreaming and wearing pony/horse printed articles of clothing and stay safe, you know, love them from afar and let the pros (aka people 100x braver than me) hug and ride pretty ponies. BTW-- I did see the same top in a burgundy color, so if any of you shoppers are interested you better rattle your hocks (this is cowboy slang...for hurry) and get over to your local Ross to see if they have any left. 
   I did buy the cardigan from the Men's section at Old Navy, because it was in a color that I don't have already and it is structured in a way that allows for the material to be fitted but still loose enough to be comfy. Plus... the men's side of the store was completely deserted and I didn't really want to lose an eye or finger because of the other crazy shoppers on the women's side for a cardigan.

    Yep, I drive back down to college Tuesday night--classes start on Wednesday. At least it'll be a short-ish week!

  5. I, too, love the horse print top! Large animals can be intimidating. I always thought I'd love to swim with dolphins and then I saw how big and powerful they were up close and was like, "ermmm...never mind. I'm good." XD

  8. I love the shirt, Genie- the print is really similar to a Leifsdottir dress that I have from a few years back! :) And I love that you bought your cardigan from the men's section- I should check it out!

  9. Awww, I know an adorable little pony that you could tower over and hug all you want. (Because there really is nothing nicer than pony hugs, so soft and fuzzy!)

    You made my heart melt with the cowboy boots and the horse print shirt, so all I can say is that I love this, that blouse is so fun and adorable I wish we had a Ross up here! And wow, I need to go to the mens section more often, I know they always have awesome coats over there. Good luck with heading back to school as well!

  11. I love the pony print shirt! And I totally agree with you about horses in real life! I honestly didn't realize how big they really were until just recently and am now slightly terrified of them. And I've always wanted to try getting something from the men's section, but was always afraid of getting weird looks. It happens all the time when I'm looking in the kids section. But I'll just have to find a time when there are no sales associates around, cause there are obvious benefits seeing how great that cardigan is! :)

  12. Ahhhh this outfit is amazing! I love the print mixing (such a cute horse print shirt). hahahaha rattle your hocks. I never knew that meant hurry, it's so much funner to say that than hurry. And wow that cardigan is so cool, i love buying cardigans/sweaters from men's section because it's so much more comfortable. And obviously from your awesome outfit, super stylish too :)
