How To: Look Normal When Ill

Hey friends! Then inevitable happened, I succumbed to the nasty cold/flu/virus/sickcocktail that is going around...

                 Maybelline Falsies
Lipstick... Revlon Lipbutter... Color 025 Peach Parfait
Skinnies... Bongo
Cardigan... F21
Black Button Up... H&M
  Combat Boots...Ross
   Watch... Michael Kors

Seriously, no matter how many preventative steps I've taken, no relief from the grody sicknesses that are spreading like a hot trend on the runway. The worst part is, every store that I've gone to has officially sold out of Theraflu... right...WTF. I'm a hot mess right now, but I did venture out to pick up my sister and run her to the library so I had to look half decent. Which is why I whipped out my mascara combo, first the Falsies, then a swipe of the Beatenizer to help when fiber lengthening and volume. Then I quickly applied a light pink Lipbutter and called it a workout. You know when you're sick how everything takes double the time and manpower to get done. I thought about foundation, but skipped it just because I was lazy/sick... OK running just a little late. BUT... I would recommend a BB Cream for light coverage, this one is my favorite.  Any tips on which over the counter meds work for you guys?

Thanks for reading!!

xoxo,
Genie

  4. You look great! Theraflu is really a life saver, totally stinks that they are out, Mucinex is my backup when I cannot find the Theraflu though. Love your style!

  6. It's your teal skinnny jeans! I love them and how you styled it with the cute cardigan. Oh no, I hope you can find Theraflu and get better soon. I sometimes use mucinex and it sort of works!

  8. Oh no, you poor thing, you did get sick! I'm crossing my fingers hoping you'll get better soon, that flu is awful. :P I do have to say, you look so good for being sick, I get a little cold and yikes, it is not a pretty sight, I cold pass for a cast member of the walking dead. (No stage makeup needed!) I like how you paired your lettered sweater with your brown leather bag, you look low key but still so stylish.

I hope you get sweet soon sweetie!

  12. I've been sick the entire past week and know exactly what you mean! I was so not in the mood to whip up any outfits so I basically just wore whatever happened to be on the floor at the moment. And I wore flats basically all week! I shocked even myself with that one. But you still look great, and I love the teal pants with the navy and gray. The pink hair tie also adds a fun pop of color! Hope you get better soon!
