Happy One Year Anniversary!

Happy New Year Friends! I hope that you all had a safe and fun night while ringing in 2013!

Military Jacket... Ross
Contemporary Brocade Top... F21
Teal Collard Blouse... H&M
Black Skinnies... Ross
Studded Flats... Urban Outfitters

If you couldn't already tell by the title, exactly a year ago today, I started Unique & Chic. Originally, I just wanted to share my take on fashion, I didn't know what great people I'd meet, all around the world. You see, that's the beauty of being able to express yourself in such an open and welcoming community, friendships bloom, inspiration sparks, and I feel that we're all able to help each other improve. So, here's to another year filled fashion risks, great friendships, and fun outfits. Thank you all so much for coming back to my blog, reading my posts, and leaving so many words of kindness, I wouldn't have made it this far without you!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for reading!

xoxo,
Genie

  3. Wahoo! Does this mean I can get the noise makers out? :) It's been so much fun getting to now you this year, you're such a fun, hilarious girl, I wish I knew you in rl because you are just awesome. (And terribly sweet to boot!) Congratulations on one year dear!

Mmm, and of course you're celebrating in style, those studded flats are killer. (They could be used as weapons! You'd have a fierce roundhouse kick in these.) I want to break out my utility jacket now, I really love the olive green with the bright pattern, it's such a fun mix.

  4. I really, REALLY love this combo! Especially that sweater. You look great. AS for a hair tutorial...maybe someday I might get around to that, but I basically just blow dry my hair with a big, round brush and some de-frizzing product, and then I wrap it around the curling iron away from my face. I start at the top and don't use a clamp so the ends stay somewhat strait. If it is too tight of a curl I pull the hair strand down strait when I am done with the iron. Just a little hairspray and VOILA! ha ha Hope that didn't confuse your, but thanks for asking...I was feeling like I was having a bad hair day that day...so I guess not;)
